New Hairstyles Trend to Watch Out For in 2022

We live in an age where new trends are rising every day. Short, long, blonde, black, curly, you name it. The more unique the style, the more people will get impressed by it. As the internet has become our primary source of information and inspiration, everyone knows what is trendy now and what everyone else is doing. The trendsetters of today take a great deal from the celebrities they idolize to make their own styles.

For example, Adele’s new song ‘Easy On Me’ has one other big talking point about her hairstyle. Many fans “breakdown” a hair look from celebrities, singers, or actors and make sure they replicate it on themselves to remain in the loop.

In this blog post, top celebrity hairstylist Rene Fris tells you everything you need to know about the latest hair styling trends to watch out for in 2022. Let’s begin.

Q: Which hairstyle trends — cuts, colors, styles — do you predict rising in popularity in 2022?

A:

According to top celebrity hairstylist Rene Fris, hair trends change every year, and the faster it changes, the better for those who want to stand out from the crowd. Fris states the following as some few trends he envisioning in 2022.

Trends in Haircuts

Short and Wild Shag

This is the ultimate girl-next-door ‘do — everything you need and nothing you don’t. One of our all-time most requested cuts, it’s also incredibly easy to style and maintain. Just a quick round brushing through and it looks like you walked out of the salon with it done every day. It’s our Short and Wild Shag.

Blunt Collarbone Cut

In a word, YES. This silhouette is the new leader in shorter hair, and we can’t quite believe how much it works for everyone. We’re all about the wispy texture, of course. Just ask any of our heroines about that. And don’t go getting us started on the virtues of a blunt jawline bob — we could wax poetic here for hours says Rene

Soft Curved Bob

The Soft Curved Bob haircut is a fresh take on the classic bob, with slightly longer layers for movement, and soft, yet gently-shaped ends. Combined with a deep side part, this look flatters every face shape.

Mia Wallace Bob

Our Mia Wallace Bob is beautiful with its mid-length blunt cut, layered bangs, and perfectly coiffed waves. Rene says It’s sophisticated in one way, but still has that classic 50’s pin-up vibe. A style that makes everyone swoon. No wonder it is still on the trend.

Cheekbone-Grazing 90s Bob

The 90s were all about power and control, and that look is still very much in demand. It’s all about razor-sharp lines and super glossy strands with this chic bob. The upper layers are long enough to cover the short back and sides, while the slick finish flatters on-trend up dos too.

Trends in Colors

Milk Chocolate

Milk chocolate colored brown hair is a great choice for women who want to make a bold statement and stand out and away from the crowd. The color looks remarkable on medium and dark skin tones and provides a nice balance between rich and lighter shades of brown.

Copper

The rich red-brown shade of this permanent hair dye is ideal for adding maximum red tones to darker, non-bleached hair that has been lightened to a level 8 or lighter. Such copper hair looks great with all different skin tones and eye colors!

Face Framing Highlights

Most hairdressers agree that face-framing highlights are among the best ways to bring attention to your best features. Face framing highlights create a bolder look that will accentuate your facial features and make them more visible. Highlights come in many colors and styles, so there are a lot of options available for everyone!

Honey Blonde

Honey blonde hair color is a gorgeous, natural-looking hue that has been rising in popularity for some time, however, it still appears to be one of the trends for the coming year. This look is perfect for women who want to add a little more warmth to their locks without going too far from their natural hair color.

Smooth Ombre

Ombre is one of the hottest trends in hair color for 2022. It helps to achieve a unique look that encourages volume at the root of your strands. It offers an array of colors that can be customized based on your personal preferences and gives the appearance of more volume at the root of your strands.

Q: Have clients been asking for anything specific and/or that stands out as the year comes to an end?

Rene furthered that, Adele is a perfect example of a female celebrity that has become a barometer for what women want for their personal lives. This is especially true in terms of her look, as she constantly pushes the boundaries on the trends she wears, including her hairstyle.

Q: Do you have styling and/or maintenance tips for any of the upcoming trends you’ve noticed?

Here are our top styling or maintenance tips for any of the upcoming trends in women hairstyles this season: 1) Always apply products that say “moisturizing. 2) Avoid shampoos and conditioners with sulfates, which dry out curls., 3) Use a wide-tooth comb when washing your hair., 4) To tame frizz, try a leave-in conditioner., 5) Apply mousse to add volume and texture. and always 6) Use a blow-dryer on low heat to set the style.

Q: For example: Mullets and shags have been all the rage, but they’re going to grow out eventually…or are they?

A: Rene answered “No” to this question, saying that the choppy, layered hairstyle from the ’70s is now making a comeback — however, it is coming better as it has been totally modernized. Shag haircuts are a great way to add some texture, volume, and depth to your style which makes them look super cool and timeless.
